New fruit trees for the parish garden

This February it was time for the old plum tree and one of the two apple trees. The substance of the trunks and the broken branches were the reason to fell the two long-time residents of the St. Sebastian parish.

On March 13th we planted new fruit trees as a community action. It was nice to work in the garden together, dig the holes and prepare the planting. We had planted the trees before the predicted rain, which was supposed to start at 14:00; a high-stemmed cherry tree, a high-stemmed plum tree, a low-stemmed apple tree, as well as a peach and two fig trees. Finally there were two more bee-friendly native bushes, a lilac and a rock pear bush.

We hope to harvest the fruits in due course and share them with many people. Maybe in exchange for something?
